Report: Gazprom seeks 33% share on European gas market in 2016
MOSCOW, Sep 27 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Export, the export arm of Russian gas giant Gazprom, plans to raise its share on the European gas market by 2–5 percentage points to 33% in 2016, Bloomberg reported Tuesday citing the company’s representative Valery Nemov.
In 2015, Gazprom supplied 158.6 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe having increased its market share to 31%.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said in June that the company’s share on the European market will continue growing regardless of a presence or absence of the U.S.’ liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the region.
